Mahogany Tone with added Convenience - T98DCE by Lâg

The Lâg T98DCE takes the traditional dreadnought acoustic guitar and gives it a twist with the addition of a big definition pickup system and a cutaway allowing easier playing of the higher frets. As with all Lâg Guitars, quality is without compromise which can be seen in the subtle wood inlays on the headstock and around the sound hole and more importantly, the quality can be heard when you play the T98DCE. The African Mahogany body gives you a complete acoustic response from low bass tones right up to the high treble notes. The Lâg T98DCE guitar has been carefully crafted by the Lâg luthiers to produce a well rounded instrument which is suited to a number of playing styles including rock, pop, blues and folk guitar.

The T98DCE body is built from high quality African Mahogany (Khaya) which means you have unrivalled acoustic characteristics and tonal response. As with all high quality guitars, the T98DCE will improve with age as you play it more and more.

About the Dreadnought Guitar Shape

The dreadnought guitar shape is well known for its rich tone and great sound projection. The dreadnought is one of the most popular types of acoustic guitar in the world and is perhaps the most recognisable acoustic guitar shape.

Martin Guitars were arguably the creator of the dreadnought style and it has been adopted by most manufactures since its conception in the early 20th century. If you ask someone to picture an acoustic guitar in their mind they will probably picture a dreadnought style. Dreadnought guitars have a symmetrical body shape and design is often simple and understated. But looks aren't everything, it's the sound of the dreadnought which makes them one of the most popular guitar styles.  Thanks to the size and shape of the body as well as the internal construction of the guitar, dreadnoughts deliver a louder sound than many of their counterparts.

Dreadnoughts have been played by countless stars over the years. Johnny Cash, Elvis Presley, Kurt Cobain all rocked dreadnought style guitars in their time. Dreadnought guitars may be a little on the large side for a young guitarist and tend to suit adult players best.

What does Tramontane stand for?

The Lâg Tramontane range takes its name from the French word for the north wind. Inspired by nature and combining some of the finest woods available, the luthiers at Lâg have crafted a wide range of Tramontane series guitars in both steel and nylon string variants.

Suggested Accessories

  • Case / Gig Bag - to keep safe and movable your guitar. You can choose from different cases for this product, we would recommend getting a gigbag that will have straps to be comfortable to go everywhere with your classical guitar and perform, also seek for pockets where you can store your picks and cables, maybe get a second pair of straps.
  • Tuner - make sure you always hit the right note. Grab a portable tuner so that you can check that your guitar is in tuner wherever you go.
  • Spare strings - Strings break. As you start performing with new strings you will notice the difference on having a brand new pack of strings and as you can never be sure if you gonna break a string, you better have extra stings for replacements.
