Jackson JS2 Bass in Tobacco Burst  - Versatile and Affordable

The Jackson JS2 bass guitar has been designed with the player in mind to be both comfortable and give the player a wide choice of sounds thanks to its active or passive pickup selection and extensive tone controls. The poplar body with large upper horn evenly distributes weight throughout the instrument, so you can play for hours comfortably without the bass slipping out of the playing position as unbalanced instruments tend to do.

The neck of the JS2 is a bolt-on maple neck with scarf joint design which generates improved sustain, while the speed neck contour and 12" radius laurel fingerboard (with 24 frets) alway for fast playing.

The Spectra Bass JS2 comes equipped with a Jackson J-style bridge pickup and P-style neck pickup which can deliver a range of tones from dark and heavy to light or jazzy. 

Jackson have thought about creating a bass guitar to suit all styles and at the heart of the Spectra JS2 is a well designed electronics system. Your tone can be refined with the blend control, bass boost and volume control (with a push/pull selector to bypass or engage the active circuit for the bass boost). In the past, if your battery ran out in an active pickup system you would lose sound but Jackson have thought of a solution. With the push/pull selector, you’ll never have to worry about your battery running out. A quick pull on the volume knob will bypass the active circuit, and put you into passive pickup mode like traditional bass guitars.

The Jackson JS2 Spectra Bass is a great balance between price and quality and has features you would normally see on a bass costing 3-4 times as much.
