Huge headroom, tiny footprint: the EVO II generation of Ashdown's 800-watt Rootmaster remains a masterclass in portable bass power.
The anodised-alloy chassis weighs almost nothing, yet inside is a full working bassist's rig: passive and active inputs metered by the classic Ashdown VU, a 5-band EQ with one-press Shape voicing drawn from the flagship ABM, onboard compression, FX loop, DI out and a headphone preamp that turns it into a silent practice station. Drive two 8-ohm cabs or a single 4-ohm stack and it delivers all night, every night.

About Ashdown
Ashdown is British bass amplification at its best. Founded by Mark Gooday in 1997 after his years running Trace Elliot, the company builds everything from lightweight gigging heads to hand-wired UK flagships, and its artist roster reads like a who's who of bass: Geezer Butler, Shavo Odadjian, John Myung, Rex Brown, Guy Pratt and Adam Clayton among them. If it has a VU meter and it makes the room shake, it's probably an Ashdown.
