The ultimate pedal platform, reborn: the Pedalsmith 50 rebuilds Hiwatt's legendary DR504 circuit for the pedalboard era.
A pair of EL34s pushes over 50 watts of the crystal-clear, piano-tight headroom that made Hiwatt the backbone of Pete Townshend's and David Gilmour's rigs. High and low inputs each act as a 'linked' input — the trick famously modded into 1970s Hiwatts for Pink Floyd — feeding both Normal and Brilliant channels at once for deep tonal sculpting, while the clean, quiet post-preamp FX loop keeps delays and modulation pristine after the valve stage. If you build your sound with pedals, few amps on earth present them better.

About Hiwatt
Hiwatt is one of the founding names of British amplification. Dave Reeves began building his famously overbuilt, military-spec amplifiers in London in the 1960s, and their huge clean headroom became the backbone of two of rock's most iconic sounds: Pete Townshend's wall of Hiwatts with The Who and David Gilmour's shimmering Pink Floyd tones. Today's range spans hand-wired English flagships and accessible tube and solid-state amps that carry the same DNA.
