About the album

Paco de Lucia has always been interested in Spanish classical music. Thus, he recorded the CDs featuring compositions by Manuel de Falla (1968), Federico Garcia Lorca (67), and classical Andalusian and Latin American music (65–69).

In 1991, he included three pieces from Albeniz's Suite Iberia and his rendition of the Concierto de Aranjuez. Thus, with great respect, he was able to offer fresh ideas on this traditional Spanish repertoire from a flamenco standpoint. This recording marks a turning point in the fusion of flamenco and classical music.
