The brand-new offset body shape was built with the artist in mind. For hours of pleasant playing, the huge upper horn on the poplar body uniformly distributes weight throughout the instrument, giving ideal balance and minimising neck dip. Speed neck contour and 12"-16" compound radius laurel fingerboard (with 24 frets) allow for lightning-fast playability, while a bolt-on maple neck with scarf joint design offers rock-solid dependability.

The sound produced by the Spectra Bass JS3V is as distinct as the bassist who plays it. A HiMassTM bridge offers increased stability, improved sustain, and louder tone, while dual passive Jackson medium-output humbucking pickups produce a monstrous low-end growl suitable for genres such as funk, hard rock, or gospel. Tone can be further tuned and manipulated using a two-way toggle switch for pickup coil splitting, 3-band EQ (active only), blend control and volume control (with push/pull selector to bypass or engage the active circuit for the 3-band EQ). You won't ever have to worry about the push/pull selector running out of battery life and your music going silent. The active circuit may be quickly bypassed by pulling the volume knob quickly, which makes it simple to restore bass sound without using battery power.
