Dunlop Fretboard Oil - Bring your Fretboard Back To Life

Dunlop Fingerboard 02 Deep Conditioner is the second step of a 2 step fingerboard cleaning process. Once you have removed the dirt and grime from your fingerboard with with Dunlop Fingerboard 01 or a similar product, you are ready to apply the deep conditioning oil.

The Dunlop Fingerboard 02 bottle has a special application cap which the Dunlop people call the "dap-o-matic". Just tip the bottle upside down and the dap-o-matic applicator will fill itself with oil. Rub it gentle on the fretboard until the oil is spread on the whole fretboard. If the wood of your fretboard is very dry, the Dunlop oil may be absorbed very quickly (within a minute or 2) in which case we recommend a second application to ensure you replenish the oils the wood need to avoid cracking and warping. Once you are happy the fretboard has sucked up all the oil it needs (you can tell if its just sitting on the fretboard and no longer being absorbed) wipe off the excess oil with a clean cloth or tissue.
