About Dunlop
Jim Dunlop is one of the most significant people in modern music history. Engineer Jim Dunlop provided for his family by working as a machinist, but in his free time, he owned guitar accessories that changed the music industry. Dunlop has been recognised for creating the fingerboard and flat picks over the years by experimenting with various gauges, forms, and materials in response to input from professional musicians. Soon after, he began to specialise in slides and preserved the legacy of the American slide guitar by developing a range of models with varying thicknesses, widths, and materials. Dunlop's engineering training paid off in the 1980s when his business ventured into the effects industry, obtaining and refining the MXR and Crybaby Wah effects pedals to produce goods that motivated future generations of guitarists.
