Gretsch® G9500 JIM DANDY™ 24" Flat Top Acoustic Guitar | 2-Color Sunburst  | Basswood Body | Walnut Fingerboard | Non Cutaway

The G9500 Jim DandyTM Flat Top parlor-style model, faithful to the Gretsch® "Rex" parlor guitars of the 1930s, 1940s, and 1950s, captures everything great about everyone's first guitar.

The G9500 is made with premium guitar woods, is completely lined and braced for a warm and appealing tone, and has a 24" scale length for countless hours of playing comfort.

The Jim Dandy has a non-cutaway basswood body with X-bracing for a robust and resonant voice, a top-load walnut bridge with a compensated synthetic bone saddle for equal intonation down the length of the neck, and is ideal for both picked and fingerstyle playing. The "C"-shaped nato neck, which connects to the body at the 12th fret, features a comfortable, easy-to-play walnut fingerboard with vintage-style frets and pearloid dot inlays.

The G9500 has a traditional 2-Color Sunburst finish, vintage open-gear die-cast tuning machinery in the style of the 1950s, nickel hardware, and a single-ply white pickguard with a "G" design.

This small masterpiece works well for both novices and seasoned professionals and is perfect for songwriting, practice, or even as a travel guitar. The Jim Dandy will provide hours of enjoyable playing thanks to its comfortable playing characteristics and full-sounding bass in a woody vintage tone.

About Gretsch

The Gretsch company was founded in Brooklyn, New York way back in 1883 before Fender or Gibson had started making instruments. Gretsch guitars are renowned for their excellent playability, high quality and unmistakable Gretsch sound. Don't let the iconic hollow body guitars fool you... These aren't just for Jazz and blues players. John Frusciante famously played a Gretsch White Falcon with the Red Hot Chilli Peppers (along with plenty more awesome guitars!)
